Elegance was first opened in 1980 in Haverford by Javad and Simeen Vafa, who had the vision to open a small French bakery in the US. After many successful years, Javad and Simeen decided to pass down the legacy of Elegance to their son, Ziaeddin Vafa, and daughter-in-law, Maryam Vafa. Under their guidance, Elegance expanded its reach, opening its first location in Paoli in 1990 and a second location in Wayne in 2008.
As Zia and Maryam embark on new adventures, pursuing their dreams of travel and spending more time with family, they have entrusted the future of Elegance to Michael and Madeline Sage who are honored to carry on the rich tradition and legacy that the Vafa’s have built over the years.
